Sandy with Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's Rubber Duck
Yes, I may be one brick shy of a full load but that's no reason I can't start a new organization/"guild" that acknowledges the genius in all the creative attempts we've all made and possibly failed to follow through on. The Genius Guild will be instituted to support you and the things you have started and haven't finished whether it's a poem or a piece of pottery or a porch! As humans, we're meant to gather in communities to lend a hand and in the Guild we are going to lend an idea or suggestion to help each other to reach our goals --- of pure Genius. And, it's a good reason to get together with like minded people and brainstorm on anything that needs to have answers to encourage completion or be consoled because it's going nowhere. -- What are friends for? I'm hoping to expand our horizons without illegal drugs. Bring any unfinished project if it's small enough to transport.
The inaugural meeting will be TBD. Your participation on being a charter member will make me very happy. Maybe we'll have T-shirts printed. Note; this will hopefully be on-going on the Fourth Friday of each month, with the possibility of rescheduling in November and December to avoid anyone's holiday preparations.
To join there is a $7.00 (one time fee) and nothing to sign except a pledge to not hold me or Creative Harmony Arts & Books liable or responsible for any injuries you might incur to your feelings. "And what will the fee be needed for," you ask... well the lights and A/C for two and the sparkling water and lemons and cucumbers to infuse it with flavor so we can "Sip 'n' Bitch." We may have to pay someone a stipend to be our speaking guest. You are welcome to BYOB and that can be beer if you want to cry in it. Drinking alcohol may require you to sign a waiver for sure. (No biggie I hope.) Must be over 21 to participate.
There's a good chance we will have guest speakers to raise our curiosity in a variety of subjects from music to writing to just old fashioned inventors. If you know any let me know and I'll hunt them down.
Anyone joining can purchase a book of novel ideas called, A Curious Mind: The Secrets to a Bigger Life by Brian Grazer and Charles Fishman for a discounted price of $10.00 (retail is $16.00) I think Brian is a genius and probably so is Charles. Let me know in advance if you want to purchase copy.
